We had the privilege of sponsoring the January Ohio County Chamber of Commerce Luncheon, which was an important meeting for Ohio County. Those in attendance were able to hear from Ohio County Judge Executive, David Johnston, who delivered the State of the County address. Our Pennyrile employees enjoyed being part of the special event, and we were pleased to share our FKB swag with chamber members.
We had the pleasure of participating in the Ohio County High School Career Fair. Our Beaver Dam employees enjoyed connecting with the students and helping them learn about Careers in Banking and future opportunities that may be available at First Kentucky. The goal of the Career Fair is to help students be more informed about career choices before they graduate high school.
The Muhlenberg South Middle School held their Reality Store Event, which helps teach students about the financial responsibilities they will have as an adult. FKB Greenville employees, Elizabeth Becklehimer and Tara Ford volunteered at the Bank Booth and had the opportunity to open a mock checking account for the students. This exercise allows students to practice money management and monthly budgeting. Financial education is important to us, and we were proud to help the school with this hands-on learning experience for the students.
FKB Beaver Dam Branch Manager, Brittney Coe presented a $100 donation to Chuck Price who accepted it on behalf of the Beaver Dam Cruise-In. Our donation will help fund the 2023 Cruise-In, which will take place on Saturday, May 27th.
